Being a member of BOGI means you have access to the following services:

The BOG Shop, situated in the garage adjacent to the main Albion Centre building, is for the exclusive use of members.

It is our aim to supply organic products to members at specially reduced rates as an encouragement to grow their own requirements, organically.

The products listed below are available for purchase at our monthly meetings.

RECYCLING: Bring along your clean bottles so we can recycle them with Fish Emulsion or Seaweed Extract. Hand them in at the BOGI shop. Do not leave them outside as they cause litter and are dangerous if broken. Please remove the label first, it saves us work..Thanks!

All persons wishing to purchase books from the BOGI bookstore should be aware that our former bookseller, Ron Charteris has retired and is now living in a retirement village where his parents Ray & Myrtle reside.

The books listed below are for sale at the BOGI book stall. They have been chosen by the executive committee members and are available at meetings or by mail order.

MAIL ORDER: For mail orders please add $5.00 for postage and packaging, except those books marked with an * add $1.50 for postage and packaging.

OUR BOOKSELLER: Ron Charteris who has faithfully been the mainstay of our BOGI Book Shop has retired from activities and is no longer at the Heaton Street, Rocklea address. Ron has become a legend and synonymous in BOGI Books over the years. For this sterling effort, we must thank him.

However, please tell all your friends not to send anything further to him or to the Heaton Street address, as he has moved to a retirement village where his mother, Myrtle and father Ray now reside.

Phil Ryan has taken over the selling of books at meetings and all orders are to be sent to him at PO Box 236, Lutwyche QLD 4030.

* All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars and include postage within the Brisbane metropolitan area.

The price is AUD $1.00 per copy (plus postage).

The BOGI Seed Bank is a collection of seeds donated by various members of BOGI.

Seeds are 50 cents a packet (for members) and $1.00 (for non-members). Seeds are available for purchase at the BOGI monthly meetings only. If you have any problems sprouting seeds brought from the BOGI Seed Bank please return them for exchange.

** When donating seed, please make sure it is clean and ready for packaging, and that it is from plants which are organically grown and non hybrid varieties. We are currently accepting all types of seed, from insect attracting flowers to all vegetables and herbs. You can either bring your seed to a meeting and give directly to the seed bank or send to: BOGI Seed Bank, PO Box 6298, Mitchelton Q 4053. **

Library facilities are available to Brisbane-based members. A deposit of $20 is required to join the library, which allows members to borrow free of charge. This deposit will be refunded on request when you return all books and no longer wish to be a member of the library.

A system of a fine on books not returned on-time is now in place - $1 per book per month. Borrowed books can be extended by a call to the librarian.

The library will open for the perusal of books, magazines and cassettes only when the librarians are present, 1/2 hour before and 1/2 hour after each General Meeting.

All items borrowed must be returned at the next meeting or with notification to and approval of the librarians.
