About BOGI > Membership
Membership to BOGI is open to all people who:
- Promote and believe in the principle of organic
growing;
- Have the desire to enjoy pure healthy foods
grown naturally and free from artificial additives;
- Would like to produce these in their garden;
- Care about the environment to prevent its further
degradation;
- Try to minimise waste through reduction, re-use
and recycling;
- Enjoy a simple sustainable lifestyle and appreciate
the value of cottage crafts and the joys of doing it yourself;
and
- Want to learn more about organic gardening and
tap the wide range of knowledge from within the group.
- Monthly
meetings (1st Thursday of each month except January) with
a variety of interesting guest speakers from all facets of organics.
- No formal meeting procedures. Administration
is handled separately by an Executive committed elected by members
at the Annual General Meeting.
- A monthly informative newsletter which covers
not only organic gardening, but all associated interesting articles,
hints and information that make a better, healthy, and sustainable
lifestyle.
- Access to information and help from experienced
gardeners at no cost.
- Opportunity to visit members' open gardens by
arrangement.
- A free lending library based on a $20 security
deposit refundable on request.
- Membership Card which allows:
- Admission to each monthly meeting for $1 (visitors and
non-members $3);
- Discount gardening products; and
- Fruit and vegetables when available.
- Field and bus trips throughout the year:
A number of Field Trips are organised
each year for members only. As we sometimes go to private property
and numbers may have to be limited, so it is first in best dressed.

with details of up and coming events and outings which are varied.
Trips can be visiting urban, acreage, country and interstate
gardens looked after long term members and local community .

for sale at our BOGI Book Stall available at monthly meetings.

in a number of ways:
- Come along to the next General
Meeting. Admission Members $1 Non-members $3
- Complete and post the attached Membership/Renewal
